Dear Linfield Family,
As you may have heard, Governor Newsom made an announcement today regarding required COVID-19 vaccinations at schools in the semester following FDA approval. We are writing to inform you that we are aware of the news, and we are currently working with our attorneys to understand the exact details of the mandate and to determine Linfield’s best options going forward. As always, our focus is on fulfilling our school’s mission and protecting the health and well-being of our community, and we are grateful that our process has been working so well.
After speaking with our attorney, here is our official statement on today’s mandate:
Linfield Christian School supports parent choice regarding medical decisions for their students, and as we recognize that this mandate did not move through the legislative process, we are evaluating additional information about medical, religious, and personal belief exemptions for student vaccine mandates. Linfield will wait until all relevant information regarding exemptions to the mandate is released to create a firm path forward.
We will move ahead in the school year as normal, and as always, we will stay in constant communication. Thank you so much for your understanding and patience, and thank you for your prayers as we navigate these ever-changing circumstances.
